The 5 y.o.: Let’s play tic-tac-toe.
The Dad: Okay. Draw the lines. You can go first
The 5 y.o.: I’ll be X and I go first in the center. Oh, but don’t go in any of the outside boxes on your turn or else I can’t win.
The Dad: That’s not how you play the game, sweetie. You can’t always win.
The 5 y.o.: Well then what’s the point of playing it?
