Tween ActressThe 14 y.o. {wailing}: But it’s NOT FAIR! My little sister gets a callback but I don’t? What kind of masochistic director does that to sisters? We’re just kids for crying out loud!!!

The Mom: You are a very good actress, C. One of the best. Don’t forget who you are. Be kind and supportive to M and help her with her callback audition, k?

The 14 y.o. {wimpering}: Well. {sniffle} I did promise myself {sniffle} if I didn’t get a part in the show…{barely audible, somewhat disgusted} I’d play tennis instead.

The Mom: That’s the spirit. Remember: that which does not kill us only makes us–

The 14 y.o.: Yeah. I know. Can we go to the mall today? I want to spend some Christmas money on clothes.

Cast ListThe Dad {enters}: I called the director and you ARE on the callback list, C.

The 14 y.o.: OH MY GOSH I *KNEW* IT!!! YESSSS! WOO HOO!!!! {turns to The Mom} But we can still go to the mall today, right?
