On Canada {pt ii}

The 13 y.o.: Mom? Since your family came to the US from Canada, does that mean we could live there without a license?
The Mom: It’s called a permit and no, I don’t think our family would qualify since our last ancestor lived in Canada more than 150 years ago. But if you wanted to move to Canada someday, maybe your Dad being British would help since Canada is a former British colony.
The 13 y.o.: Does that mean I could be President of Canada?
The Mom: Canada doesn’t have a President. They have a —
The 13 y.o. (interrupting): Moose Overlord. Or whatever they call it there.
