The Mom: Well, could YOU make the hot chocolate?
The 12 y.o.: I could. I mean I’m able to. But I already asked Dad.
The Mom: When you are married and your kids want hot chocolate, are you going to call me up to make it for you?
The 12 y.o.: No – of course not. I’ll just ask my husband to do it.
