On the Sound of Music

The Dad: Time to go to bed. Good night.
The 12 y.o. sings: So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen good night. I’d like to stay and taste my first champagne…no?
The Mom and Dad in unison: NO!
The 12 y.o.: Oh. (Smiles and then sings in her crystal-shattering soprano) The sun has gone to bed and so must I. Good night.
The Dad: And when is she done with the Sound of Music? So the rest of the house can sleep without singing?
